PAMPER PEDAL 2025

We’re thrilled to announce that the Pamper Pedal is back for 2025! Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 31, 2025, and join us for a spectacular day celebrating female cyclists in the beautiful Eastern Sierra. Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to Wild Iris. Wild Iris is dedicated to promoting a safer community by empowering and restoring the independence of those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. This year’s theme is Superheroes—a perfect opportunity to gather your friends, channel your inner hero, and enjoy a fun-filled ride. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just getting started, this event promises an unforgettable experience for all.

DESCRIPTION

The Pamper Pedal is a recreational organized bike ride from Mammoth Lakes to Bishop to celebrate female cyclists. The event is all about FUN and participants are encouraged to dress up and celebrate their love for bike riding with other females. Riders of all abilities and ages are welcome.

Come get your pre-Pamper pedal on with Footloose Sports! Our bike shop is officially open, and we are so excited to get back to our Women’s Bike Night. Complimentary wine, snacks, clinic, and early rider check-in. Be sure to bring your bike in at least 2-3 weeks prior to make sure it’s ready to ride.

THEME: Superheroes!

ROUTE: The route is 44.8 miles in length with approximately 1,330 ft of elevation gain.

COURSE MARKINGS/WAYFINDING: All participants will receive a “cue sheet”. Please bring this with you. All turns will be marked with pinwheels! Look for the pinwheels along the course to guide you.

BIKES: Any type of bike is welcome (road, mountain, hybrid, e-bike). We suggest a road bike, but a mountain bike is fine too.

AID STATIONS AND RESTROOMS:

  • There will be three aid stations and 2 public bathrooms

    • Aid Station # 1 @ Mile 12 @ McGree Creek Lodge – Porta Potties

    • Crowley Lake Park = Public Bathrooms @ Mile 13.8

    • Aid Station # 2 @ “Top of Swall Pullout” @ Mile 23 – Porta Potties

    • Aid Station # 3 @ Round Valley School @ Mile 33.5 – Porta Potties

    • Millpond Park = Public Bathrooms

  • Rest Stops will have items such as:

    • Bananas

    • Granola Bars

    • Pretzels

    • Trail Mix

    • M&M’s

    • Gluten Free Item(s)

    • Water

    • Electrolyte Mix

    • Mini Cokes

    • And more!

    • If you have any specific dietary needs, we suggest you carry your own food!

ON-COURSE SUPPORT:

  • Footloose Sports will be providing on-course and “sweep” support for the event

  • At a minimum, all riders are encouraged to carry tire levers, inflation device, and a tube

  • There will likely be volunteers riding as “sweepers” that can assist with navigation, mechanicals, and encouragement

SAG: SAG stands for Support and Gear! Footloose Sports will be the SAG vehicle for the event and will follow the last rider. They are there to help with any mechanical issues! Feel free to flag them down if you need assistance. You can also check-in and ask for help from the many “Volunteer” riders along the route!

SAFETY

  • All riders are required to wear a helmet

  • All riders must sign the ESV Group Ride Waiver

  • This event is not a race and is not timed. It is a “fun ride”. Rules of the road apply. All riders must obey all traffic rules.

  • In the event of an emergency, please dial 911

  • It is also suggested to put the Event Lead contact in your cell phone at 760-914-0301. Please reach out at any time during the ride if you have questions, are unable to complete the ride, etc.

  • The Footloose Van will be the “sweep” to ensure that all riders safely complete the event.

POST-RIDE PARTY: The post ride party will take place at Bishop Elks Park! The Bishop Elks Park is located off West Line Street at 151 East Line Street.
The Rolling Chef Food Truck is back for 2025 and each rider will receive a ticket at registration valid for one meal. There will be a cash bar on site.

RAFFLE & PRIZES

  • The raffle and prizes will happen around 12:30pm at Bishop Elks Park.

  • Awards:

    • Best Dressed

    • Youngest Rider

  • Our team has assembled some amazing raffle items that will be announced a week before the event.

  • Each participant will receive one raffle ticket with their entry.

  • Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at registration or at Elks Park. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased via credit card or cash.

    • 1 for $ 5

    • Or 5 for $20

WHAT TO BRING

  • Properly Tuned/Functioned Bicycle

  • Helmet (Required)

  • Sunglasses/Eyewear

  • Bike Clothing Appropriate for the Weather – Dressing to the Theme Highly Encouraged!

  • Saddle Bag Containing – Tube, Tire Levers, Co2 and/or Pump

  • Two Water Bottles Filled

  • Energy Bar/Gels/Snacks As Needed (Note there will also be 3 Rest Stops)

  • Cell Phone

  • Photo ID (Optional: Credit Card for Additional Beer/Wine & Raffle Tickets)

  • Sunscreen & Lip Balm

  • Extra Backpack with Clothing to Change into at Bishop Elks Park (Attach Name to Bag)

BAG DROP: You will see a designated vehicle with “Bag Drop” signage in the parking lot at Footloose Sports! Please feel free to drop a bag in the vehicle prior to the ride and it will be transported to the Bishop Elks Park for you!

PARKING: We suggest that you park in the Rite Aid/old Bank of America side of the parking lot near Footloose to keep spaces open for their customers.

FRIENDS AND FAMILY: We love family and friends and we want them to be able to celebrate your great accomplishments! They are welcome to join you after the ride at the Bishop Elks Park and may purchase food and drink from The Rolling Chef! The Rolling Chef accepts credit cards only. No Cash.

RETURN TRANSPORTATION: Participants must arrange a ride back from Bishop. If you are having trouble, please contact us at pamperpedal2025@gmail.com
