BISHOP - PLEASANT VALLEY LOOP
RIDE OVERVIEW
The Pleasant Valley Loop is a great alternative to the standard Round Valley out and back. This loop can be done in either direction and the amount of climbing is about the same both directions.
Our favorite part of this ride is the handful of miles on the single lane road that runs next to the Pleasant Valley Reservoir. No cars but seasonally there are lots of people out fishing or walking their dogs - so take it slow and give people space. The road quality in that section is not great and there are always rocks on the road but it is a great little warm-up or cool-down section.
LINK-UPS + NEARBY RIDES
This is a great ride to link into other rides in the Bishop area. Couple of examples of what you could do:
Round Valley to Pine Creek or Lower Rock Creek to Pleasant Valley back to Millpond - great ride and creates more of a loop feel.
One of our personal favorites is to do this loop north bound into Gorge Road so you technically climb ALL of Gorge Road from start to end.
